Description
St. Peter School, established in 1878, is a parish elementary and middle school with approximately 300 students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. The Western Catholic Education Association (WCEA) has fully accredited St. Peter’s School which is a part of the Archdiocese of San Francisco Catholic Schools.
The school provides a Catholic education inspired by the spirituality of the Religious Sisters of Mercy, an order of religious women established by Catherine McAuley in Ireland to “meet the current needs of children.” Since 1878, St. Peter School has been serving the needs of diverse children in the Mission District of San Francisco.
St. Peter School mindful of its mission to be witness to the love of Christ for all, admits students of any race, color and nationality and/or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded to or made available to students at this school. St. Peter School does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, and nationality and/or ethnic origin, age, sex, or disability in the administration of educational policies, admission, scholarships and loan programs, athletic and other school administered programs.
