Do pumpkins float? Join us to find out! The floating pumpkin patch returns for its second year on October 22nd. All registered participants will enjoy fun activities, swim time in the pool, and go home with a pumpkin of their own. Ghoulish attire welcome on the pool deck, proper swimming attire required for floating.

Note: Advanced registration is required, no onsite registrations. All children 6 years and under must be accompanied in the pool by a parent/guardian over the age of 16. Swimmers must pass a swim test administered by City Staff and receive a wrist band in order to swim in the deep end of the pool.

Join us for the City of Berkeley's annual Harvest Festival, a chance to honor the Fall season with live music and kids' activities.
The Festival also features a Food Contest to celebrate our City's thriving culture of growing and making our own food.
Children will have tons of fun at the Kids Zone, whether conquering the climbing wall, running the obstacle course, bowling with pumpkins, or making a scarecrow. Other kids' activities include pumpkin decorating, a petting zoo, and carnival games with prizes.
Throughout the day, you can dance to the bands for some music in the park. Band announcement coming soon.
Keeping with the spirit of this event, sustainable practices are strongly encouraged. Public transit is available via AC Transit (#52); also, Cedar Rose Park is within walking distance from North Berkeley BART. In addition, bike parking will be located at the park.

Bring the family and join us for our annual Halloween celebrations on Fourth Street! We decorate the street and welcome all costumed kids to trick or treat at over 80 merchant shops. The festival will be on Delaware at Fourth Street with all sorts of free activities and entertainment for everyone !

This spook-tacular event includes a walk through the Dublin Pioneer Cemetery in the black of night. You'll hear haunting stories of ghosts thought to be lurking in Dublin, including news of possible recent sightings. You'll make your way through the dark and creaky 166-year-old Murray Schoolhouse, and get a peek inside the Kolb House, where you may have to look twice at the eerie shadows in the corners.

Ghosts of Dublin tours will start at 7:30 p.m. and will run every 30 minutes until 10:30 p.m.

Get ready Fremont because TV Horror Show Host, Lord Blood-Rah, is back and hosting Fremont Spooktacular 2023!

This year, Lord Blood-Rah brings us the 1959 classic The Giant Gila Monster in extra special old school 3D format. Be prepared for an extra spooky time by dressing in your scariest or not so scary costume* while partaking in some sweet treats as we relive this classic monster movie!

Climb aboard the HAUNTED TRAIN for a spooky (not scary) ride through the haunted forest at Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont. This ride is designed especially for families with children under 12. Live actors supply the fun and you will encounter the famous Witch of Ardenwood and other characters. There are colorful Halloween displays in between the scenes. Nothing will jump out or frighten young children. For 30 years we have been supplying Halloween fun for all ages.
Trains operate every 30 minutes between 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm on Friday and Saturday nights; and between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm on Sunday nights, on the two weekends before Halloween: October 20, 21, 22; and October 27, 28, 29.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Because the ride is at night, for safety reasons every child under the age of 4 must sit on an adult's lap, which will also give them a better view.

Walk through our Halloween store at 4414 Piedmont into a Pumpkin Wonderland. We carry over 15 varieties of pumpkins; from tiny Muskins up to Atlantic Giants, Orange, Red, White, Bumpy, Ribbed, Green & Multi-Colored. We also carry corn stalks, corn, gourds, straw and straw bales. After you pick out a pumpkin, come in to the store and purchase a carving kit and candles to make your Jack-o-Lantern unique. Also, decorate your house and yard with spider webs, giant spiders, tombstones, skeletons & scarecrows

Meet the ghosts of Pleasanton's past in this uniquely spooky annual event held by Museum on Main. Ghost Walk is a two hour guided walking tour of Pleasanton’s most haunted sites along Main Street in the downtown area...and you never know what spirits you might encounter along the way!

After a short introduction about the history of paranormal activity in the area, your Ghost Host will guide you on this haunted tour of the things that go bump in the night! This family-friendly tour, held for over sixteen years, continues to be a popular event during the Halloween season!

In-Person tours depart the museum every 30 minutes between 6pm and 8pm on the nights of Ghost Walk. Most of the tour’s stops are outside, but in a few locations groups go inside the haunted buildings. There may be two stops that require the use of stairs to access the ghosts. The walks take place rain or shine - so dress appropriately! Costumes are encouraged!

​Note about pets: While the museum loves pets, ghost walk is not suitable for the family pet to attend unless they are service animals.

Tickets for In-Person tours will be kept at Museum on Main Will Call. Please arrive at Museum on Main, 603 Main Street, Pleasanton, CA 94566 at least 10 minutes prior to your tour time to collect your tickets and check in.

5K/10K starts at 8:00 a.m. 5K and 10K events are timed; awards will be presented to overall winners as well as to top finishers in each age group. Kids Challenge (ages 2 – 8) starts at 9:30 a.m. 25 yd. for 0-4, 50 yd. for 5-6, and 75 yd. for 7-8yrs. Races will be run separately and from youngest to oldest.

Long sleeve shirts for 5K-10K runners - first 750 to register. Kids Challenge entry includes a t-shirt, but participants may opt out if they wish.

To celebrate our 30th running of this event, finisher medals will be awarded to all 5K, 10K, and Kid's Race participants this year.

So dig that cozy sweater out of your closet and get pumped for pumpkin season: October is the time of year to enjoy the slower pace of life, time spent with family and great days out. Farming attracted the Nunn Family to the rich soils of Brentwood almost 150 years ago. At just 20 years old, George Nunn came to town to work the grain harvest. He saw promise and a successful future living and working with the kind people of Brentwood. Slowly, other family members joined him and they set down roots in their beautiful surroundings. They began building a farming business that is still run by third, fourth and fifth generation members of the Nunn Family. Today, the Nunn Family, supported by a team of dedicated professionals, continues a tradition of bringing superb agricultural products to California.
Love for the land and a passion for farming runs strong throughout the Nunn Family. This outlook on life formed the momentum behind Three Nunns Farm – run by the three Nunn siblings: Jake, Sam, & Hailey.

The City of Concord Recreation Services Department is ready to pumpkin-spice things up at the Spooktacular Trick or Treat Trail. Activity fee includes trick-or-treating, face painting, scavenger hunt and prize, and more. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Ages 2-11.

Join us for a ghoulish evening! The festivities will include arts and crafts, face painting, games, trick-or-treating, and lots of fall fun! Pre-registration is required: no walk-ins. Instead of going to the same old pumpkin patch, take a dip in the pool and pick your pumpkin!

There are two time slots available. The first, from 3:30pm-5pm, is better for families with younger children. The Activity Pool and Splash Park will be available during the time. The second, from 5:30pm-7pm, is better for families with older children. The Activity Pool, Splash Park, and Emery G. Weed III Lap Pool with the Low-Dive will be available. The slide will not be available during either time.

Pre-registration is highly encouraged. Drop-in's the day of are welcome if space if available. Last year sold out!

For a fun, safe Halloween event, children and their parents are invited to Trick-or-Treat on Mt. Diablo Blvd. from Plaza Way to Dewing Ave, Lafayette Circle and in La Fiesta Square from 4:00-6:00pm on Friday, October 27, 2023. This event is free for everyone and recommended for children 9 and under. Come in costume! Don’t forget to bring your Trick-or-Treat bag.

All participating businesses will display a “Trick-or-Treat Poster.”

Join Corte Madera Parks and Recreation for a ghoulishly good time at our Halloween Dance Party. Boogie down with your favorite ghosts and goblins and do a few pirouettes with your princess clad friends. Don’t forget to do the monster mash with D.J. Feeve Wells, we promise it will be a smashing good time. Dance tickets are $10 per person, do it yourself photo booth, and light refreshments will be available on a first come first serve basis. Costumes are encouraged but not required, and please remember this is a family friendly event so leave extra scary costumes at home.

Join Corte Madera Parks and Recreation for a fun pumpkin carving event. This is a BYOP event, *Bring Your Own Pumpkin*. This is a family friendly event open to all ages. Get your pumpkin gutted at our pumpkin gutting station while you wait for a mess free experiance and use any of our fun pumpkin carving kits to make your Jack-o-lantern masterpiece. Leave the clean-up to us!

Don’t wait to get your tickets for our Tulocay Cemetery Tour, Sunday, October 29th at 4pm! Our Halloween tour sells out quickly and you won’t want to miss it!
This special Halloween tour diverges from our standard summer walking tours, winding through some of the oldest parts of the cemetery and you just might meet some of the storied individuals who helped to shape Napa as we know it. The tour begins at the historic Juarez Building office just inside the old gates, and is about 90 minutes long mostly following the paved roads.
Please note: While Tulocay Cemetery’s roads are paved, the terrain is still quite hilly in steep in some parts. Please be sure that scooters, walkers, or other mobility devices are suitable for inclines.

We provide individual headsets so that our tour guide can easily be heard throughout the tour.

Calling all ghouls and gals! Join us for a spooktacular time at the Queen’s fifth annual Trunk or Treat. Caregivers and community members are invited to dress in costumes and participate in this fun-filled event. Games, treats, a nacho bar and prize drawings will be available for the whole family. We look forward to seeing you there!

The event will be held in front of the hospital facing Trancas Street, by the giant Christmas tree and the main entrance.

Join us for our annual pumpkin carving and brunch!

Wander around the apple meadow until you find your perfect pumpkin. Then, clean it up and start carving your masterpiece at the hay bale station. Once your pumpkin is finished add it to the display table while you enjoy brunch. At the end, pick up your pumpkin on the way out and bring it home for all of the trick-or-treaters to see.

Tickets include brunch and entry is based on selected reservation time. Wine, beer, and cocktails will be available for purchase.

This FREE event will take place at the Yountville Community Center with spooktacular games, crafts, and snacks for children of all ages to come and enjoy! A costume contest will take place at 3:15 PM.

The most popular event of the year is coming up with two full weekends of Boo at the Zoo Presented by First 5 California. Bring it on by wearing your creative and imaginative animal or super-hero Halloween costumes and more, on Saturday and Sunday, October 21-22 & 28-29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Highlights of this popular family event include the daily costume parade and contest and watching as zoo animals “chomp and stomp” their Halloween and pumpkin treats throughout each day.

The costume parade and contest will take place at 12 noon each event day at the Elinor Friend Playground, where entrants can line up to parade around the Sculpture Learning Plaza and Playfield Lawn before being considered for the various costume categories. These include Best Animal Costume, Best Family Costume, Best Toddler Costume, and Judge’s Favorite, where winners are selected in first, second, and third place. This year, special trophies will be awarded in each category.

The highlight of each day is the line-up of scheduled treat presentations for animals, such as chimpanzees, lemurs, rhinoceroses, and more, which makes Boo at the Zoo one of the most unique Halloween events around. Be sure to take a snap of the schedule located on A-frame signs as guests enter.

The event also features the Happy Harvest Hay Maze, a 5,000-square foot hay maze and the largest one in San Francisco, featuring a hay pit, toddler maze, and fun facts kids can find at dead ends within the maze. A candy treat station is located in Entry Village where guests can pick up a candy treat bag upon exiting.

Guests are encouraged to dress in costume, however, please avoid wearing masks for the animals’ safety.

Ring in the spooky season and our latest special exhibition Disney Cats & Dogs with a special month-long screening of Frankenweenie (2012), a story about a young boy who a young boy who conducts a science experiment to bring his beloved, dearly departed dog back to life.

Ghirardelli Square invites families and their dogs to celebrate Halloween with our third annual Spooky Square, featuring a Dog Costume Contest and Kids Costume Parade. The first 200 kids will receive a Ghirardelli Square tote bag, containing treats and sweets. All participating dogs will enter to win a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prize, sponsored by Ghirardelli Square’s YAP.

Enjoy a safe, car-free Halloween experience at The Great Highway Park.
Activities include: trick or treating, arts & crafts, big bubbles & pumpkin decorating.
The Hauntway will appear on the Upper Great Highway between Judah and Taraval.

SF SAFE is partnering with the SFPD to make sure San Francisco’s little goblins will have a sweet experience this Halloween season by hosting a “Halloween Candy Explosion” and providing safety tips so everyone’s trick-or-treating goes off without a hitch.



The Halloween Candy Explosion will broomstick into Gilman Park, 903 Gilman Ave. in SF, Sat., Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free to San Francisco community members, the event is open to all ages and will feature a wide assortment of delights, including food, carnival games, jumpers, pumpkin patch, vendors, costume contest, music, face painting and more candy than you can ever dream up.



“At its heart, our Halloween Candy Explosion is about community,” said SF SAFE Executive Director Kyra Worthy. “Of course, lots of activities and candy will be part of the fun, but the connections we build while enjoying them together is what ultimately creates a stronger, safer community.”

Trunk or Treat is a pet free event. Costumes with weapons, blood, or anything deemed inappropriate will not be allowed.
To sign up your trunk, please call us at 650-985-5678 by October 20, 2023, to secure your spot. Trick or Treaters must also register by October 20, 2023. Registration opens on 9/5 for Colma Residents and 9/8 for Non-Residents.

Join us for our annual SPOOKtacular Halloween Festival! This year, all attendees must be pre-registered for the event. All pre-registered attendees are entitled to one admission ticket to be used anytime between 11am and 2:30pm. This event is geared towards preschoolers-fifth grade, but is welcome to anyone! The festival will be held at the meadow and hilltop of Leo Ryan Park (details below). Proceeds from the event benefit the Foster City Youth and Teen Foundation.

Event highlights include:

Trick or Treating: Members of different community organizations and businesses will spread out in the Leo Ryan Park meadow running trick or treat stations. All candy distributed will be pre-packaged, sealed bags candy, which will be opened as the festival begins.

Costume Contest: Our annual costume contest returns! All festival attendees who would like to participate in our costume contest may register on site prior to 1pm. It is completely free to register. Costume Contest categories are Best Individual, Best Group, and Most Creative. At 1:30pm, a short fashion show will be run so costume contest judges may see all entrants. Winners will be announced shortly after the fashion show. Winners of all contest categories will also be highlighted on Foster City Recreation's social media pages. Participants must be present to win.

Spooky Boo Trail: After trick or treating, take a walk through our Spooky Boo Trail! Our Leo Ryan Park hilltop and forest will be haunted, and decorated with spooky Halloween decor.

Halloween Carnival Games and Arts and Crafts: Carnival games and craft projects will be set up in the Meadow for children to enjoy. The carnival games will be sponsored by the San Mateo High School Interact Club, and the arts and crafts will be sponsored by the Foster City Youth Advisory Committee.

Magic Show: Attendees have the option of signing up for one of our two magic shows. Shows begin at 11:00am and 12:00pm. Check in for the magic shows will begin 30 minutes prior to showtime. Must have a ticket to attend magic show. Children 8 and under must be accompanied by parent. Tickets must be purchased in conjunction with general event registration.

Halloween is our favorite time of year here at the farm! Each year we build an amazing pumpkin farm with small, medium, and large pumpkins in multiple colors for you to choose from!
During September and October our farm turns into Halloween Palooza covered in hay, spooky decor, corn stalk, and pumpkins with all of our attractions open. Enjoy a scoop of pumpkin ice cream while riding the ghost train, dig into a piece of pumpkin pie on top of a hay bale on our hayride, or snack on some award winning pumpkin bread while walking the farm.

During the month of October, Pastorino's offers a seasonal pumpkin farm. Our pumpkin farm offers beautiful gifts, food, children's activities, (hay rides, train rides, ponies, pet and feed farm animals, giant slides and jumpers). In addition, on the weekends we also offer a haunted house and face painting. And of course a field of pumpkins to choose from.

Halloween Hoopla
Decorate your bike, wagon, or scooter, and wear your Halloween costume as our ghoolish parade struts through downtown Menlo Park.

The costume parade will depart at 11 a.m. from the parking lot behind Cheeky Monkey. Parade participants should arrive 15 minutes early to prepare.

Trick-or-treaters receive a free trick-or-treat bag to use at participating downtown Menlo Park stores. The Halloween Carnival begins immediately after the parade. Attendees will enjoy Halloween-inspired carnival games, prizes, candy, crafts, raffle prizes and entertainment.

It's the spookiest time of the year, when the tiniest ghouls and ghosts haunt Downtown San Carlos in search of CANDY! Children 7 years and under, accompanied by an adult, are invited to Trick-or-Treat down Laurel Street from San Carlos Avenue to Arroyo Avenue in their costume and visit the businesses displaying a Goblin Walk sign. Creepy Crawly Halloween Crafts at the Campbell Historical Museum!

Don't miss the chance to enjoy some Halloween crafts for families on Sunday, October 29, from 2 pm-5 pm. Bring your little ones, enjoy Halloween goodies and craft fun (you can even make your own decorated Trick or Treat bag!), and then head to downtown Campbell's Creepy Crawly Trick or Treat event.

Our annual Creepy Crawly Halloween is a two hour costume supernova in the streets of Downtown Campbell. Candy and other freebies are certainly a big part of this event, but most people come mainly to revel in a community wide costume party in the streets and get some candy as an added bonus.

With the number of people that we draw to our event, it's not likely that you're going to leave with a full bucket of candy so if you're mainly coming for the candy, you'll probably leave disappointed despite our best efforts every year to make more candy available and involve more organizations.

This is a VERY popular event and it will be crowded so if you're bringing sensitive children or animals, please take special precautions.

On Saturday, October 28, 2023, Mountain View’s Rengstorff Park will transform into a ghoulish good time for all ages with the return of Monster Bash. From 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., community members are encouraged to don their favorite costumes and enjoy a fall festival loaded with a treat trail, spooky games, enchanting performances, a stilt walker, inflatables, creepy, crawly, ooey gooey zone, Dia de Muertos celebration and more.

This event is free and open to the public. Limited parking is available at the Mountain View Community Center and Senior Center. Walking, biking or public transit to the event is highly encouraged. A free bike valet will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is sponsored by the Mountain View Voice and Learning Links Preschool.

The MEF Pumpkin Patch is a beloved Moreland tradition that combines family fun with community building and fundraising. It attracts over 3,000 visitors each year!

All the schools in the Moreland District work together to create a magical Pumpkin Patch where our kids can play games, explore, get spooked, try new foods, listen to stories, and work on crafts. The Patch is located at Moreland Woods.

Along with our traditional pumpkin sales and family-friendly events, we have an amazing team of actors and Halloween enthusiasts who transform the Moreland Woods into Grimm's Hollow, a scenic trail that is open to the general public.

Proceeds from the Pumpkin Patch go directly to MEF, to benefit our children through arts, sports and science programs. The MEF Pumpkin Patch is a wonderful way to celebrate the season and give back to our community!

We are pleased to announce the return of the 16th annual Scarecrow Contest—a beloved tradition for Benicia families! Check out scarecrows fashioned by downtown businesses and beyond. Scarecrows are on display starting October 7. The public is invited to vote for their favorites! Paper ballots are available at Benicia Main Street, participating businesses, and Benicia Farmers Market. Voting ends Sunday, October 23rd; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place favorites will be announced shortly thereafter.

Saturday, October 28th at 10 am, Benicia Main Street offers a great time for kids of all ages during the popular Halloween costume contest and sidewalk stroll. The local merchants on First Street get into the spirit of the holiday for all to shop and enjoy.

At noon there will be a Canine & Critter Costume Contest on the First Street Green with awards and treats.

We set up a beautiful pumpkin patch in the fall where we have many varieties of specialty pumpkins, as well as regular pumpkins, giant pumpkins, and mini pumpkins. Something spooky is coming to the Western Railway Museum. Come visit us if you dare for our first annual Haunted Carhouse Tours, brought to you in partnership with Napa City Ghosts & Legends. Guests will embark on an immersive and interactive paranormal experience where guests will encounter plenty of Ghosts and Ghouls from the haunted past of the Museum and old Sacramento Northern Railroad. Beware! This tour is not for the faint of heart. Paranormal ghosts and ghouls await you, and not all of them want you to make it back. Stick close to our guides as they lead you on a paranormal investigation like no other. Back at the safety of our Visitor Center, guests can enjoy arts & crafts, special merchandise in our Gift Shop, and tasty snacks and food from our Depot Cafe.

Your tour begins in our Visitor Center where groups will meet their Guide for their Haunted Carhouse Tour. Groups will be a maximum of 10 guests per group, with tours departing every 15 minutes. Be sure to join our email list and follow us on social for tickets and more information.

Each Saturday and Sunday from October 7 - 22 (Oct 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22), the Western Railway Museum will run special "Pumpkin Patch Trains" from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Come show off your fur-baby in style at our Howl-O-Ween event, featuring our well-known Costume Contest! We have 3 categories this year: Most Creative (dog-only), Funniest Fur Ball (dog-only) and Best Pack (human/dog combo). Each contestant will have 1 min. to put their best "paw" forward. Three community judges will cast the final vote and winners announced at end of event. In order to participate, your dog must be friendly, licensed, vaccinated and leashed.

Join us for a spooktacular journey that starts at the enchanting Vino Godfather Mansion and takes you on a hauntingly delightful adventure down Walnut Avenue, right on Officers Row.

As we embrace the Halloween spirit, there's something for every member of the family to enjoy! We've got you covered:
Kids of all ages can indulge in spine-tingling activities like trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, and face painting. And don't forget, we've got some eerie and mysterious spooky stories waiting for you along the way.
Fur babies can join in on the fun too! Our dog howloween costume contest is sure to leave tails wagging with excitement.
Groove to the tunes of our chilling DJ, savor the delicious treats from food trucks, sip on hot chocolate to warm your bones, and quench your thirst with mocktails, beer, and wine.
But that's not all! We're thrilled to support Vallejo Peoples Garden, a local nonprofit on Mare Island. They'll be on-site to share their enchanting Halloween butterfly display, adding a touch of magic to our festivities.

Nightmare on Glenn Street 2023!

Join us for our annual Nightmare on Glenn Street event! Visit trick-or-treat lane, haunted hallway, hay maze, social media costume contest, and more! Small, large pumpkins, and glow in the dark surveniors will be available for purchase for a nominal fee.

Our spooktacular party is from 5-8pm, Tuesday, October 31st at Children's Wonderland (360 Glenn Street). We can't wait to see all the creative and spooky costumes! Don't forget all children must be accompained by an adult. Free entry to the park and no registration required.

Fright Fest, presented by SNICKERS®, is back for select days September 23-October 29 at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. It's a spooky time of year as zombies and ghouls take over the park. Enjoy thrills and activities for the whole family throughout the day and come back for a truly frightening evening of fun after the sun goes down. Fright Fest offers a wide variety of places to get your scare on including several haunted houses and scare zones located throughout the park. The stuff of nightmares lurk around every corner as the dark of night washes over the park. The ghouls are set free for their daily hunting rituals. BEWARE! There is no place to hide!

We're back again for year 4 of our super fun Cotati Candyland Halloween Trick or Treat event!
Join us on Halloween for a FREE, safe and fun trick or treating adventure through Cotati! We're partnering with different Cotati and local businesses to hand out candy and treats.
Meet us at the headquarters booth in La Plaza Park for a map of all stops and then choose your own trick or treat adventure!

The Francis Ford Coppola Winery Halloween Carnival returns!
Join us Saturday, October 28th from 11am - 1pm, for Francis Ford Coppola Winery’s Annual Kids Halloween Carnival.
Wear your most eerie-sistible costumes for a day of ghoulish games, a fortune teller, reptiles and other animals to pet, a Wheel of Deals, devilish decorations, and entertainment for all!!
Fang-tastic food and beverages will be available for purchase at our Monster Munch Snack Table and the scary good Pool Café!

The scarecrows return to Coppola...this time, with a scavenger hunt!

Each fall, you can find (not so scary) scarecrows all dressed up and hiding throughout the Francis Ford Coppola Winery.

This year, we're adding a clever Scavenger Hunt to help you locate all nine scarecrows!

Upon completing the Scavenger Hunt, stop by Guest Services for a small prize and crayons to complete a Scavenger Hunt coloring page!

The Pumpkin Festival incorporates 3 competitions, with each contest divided by age groups.

ALL COMPETITIONS ARE DIVIDED INTO 3 AGE CATEGORIES:
7 AND UNDER 8 – 15 16 – ADULT

PUMPKIN DECORATING WITH WHEELS: Decorate your squash in any way you desire and then put wheels on it so it rolls. Wheels may be made out of any material, including vegetables, but the pumpkin should be able to move on the wheels; it must be able to roll down the market track. Prizes are given for decorations and market bucks are given for race winners.

PUMPKIN CARVING: Carve a pumpkin of any size. You can bring a pumpkin you carved from home or carve one at the market!

COSTUME COMPETITION! Make a clever costume. No commercial kits, please, though various components of pre-made costumes may be used. Your costume should be wholly unique.

Halloween event! The fun starts at 1 PM.
Costume contest for kids and families, live music, art projects for kids of all ages and more! This is a free event hosted by OCA and supported by the Occidental Community Council, Creative Sonoma and local Occidental businesses. The trick-or-treat parade leaves OCA at 4pm winding through downtown for tricks and treats from our local businesses. Bring the whole family to OCA for an afternoon of creative, silly and scary fun!


We’re pleased to present The Familiar Strangers as this year’s musical act. Featuring Sonoma County musical favorites Kevin Russell, Candy Girard, Tim Sarter and Sean Allen, The Familiar Strangers will lift your spirits with their impressive swing-style Americana. Check them out in the amphitheater from 2-4 PM!

A time of Bats and Broomsticks, Blood and Bugs - and of course, Downtown Petaluma’s Safe “Trick or Treat Trail” with the downtown Merchants!



Parents - gather your little ghosts, goblins, monsters, Harry Potters, witches on broomsticks and princesses, and join the participating downtown merchants for the Annual Trick or Treat Trail this Halloween, Tuesday, October 31 ~ from 3pm-5:30 pm!



Download the Trick or Treat Trail Map below which lists all participating locations on Kentucky St, 4th St, Western Ave, Petaluma Blvd, 2nd St, “C” St, Theater District, and the River Plaza Shopping Center. More than 70 businesses will be handing out Halloween candy to costumed children!



Participating merchants will have signage placed outside their stores and noted on the map.

We established Mickelson Pumpkin Patch in 2021 at the same location as our family owned Mickelson Christmas Trees in Petaluma, California. The holidays have always been near and dear to our hearts. We enjoy seeing the happiness from everyone picking out their family Christmas tree, so we wanted to extend that joy. We opened a Pumpkin Patch that offers a variety of fall favorites and activities that are sure to create life long memories. This will soon become a tradition in our family and hope that it will with your family as well.

From a recent newspaper article: "The Petaluma Pumpkin Patch & A'mazing Corn Maze is run by 4th generation Petaluma Farmer Jim Groverman. His integrity, creativty, and pride have been stamped in this Fall Community event for nearly 30 seasons.

The Petalum Pumpkin Patch has been blessed with so many birthday parties, anniversaries, 1st dates, elaborate prom invites, wedding proposals, school field trips, women in labor, and weddings that it's getting hard to count them all.

Farmer Jim, along with his wife, grow approximately 50 different varieties of pumpkins, squash, and gourds all sustainably. Customers can enjoy picking a fresh pumpkin straight from the vine. The family-run event also has yummy food vendors, farm animals, weekend pony rides, a toddler maze, and lots more!"

Our 2023 season opens on September 23th with all varieties of pumpkins! The season ends on October 31st.
