Over 20 years ago, SF United set out to build a club and a community that recognized and realized the potential in every child in San Francisco through soccer and teamwork. SF United FC was built on the most humble of origins, where its mission, vision, objective and goal were to create a place where children could feel like a part of a team/family bigger than themselves.. Without a doubt, we feel that this has given us our unique identity that separates us from most clubs. Community and belonging are everything when it comes to a child’s development on & off the field. After having thousands of children come through our programs, who have grown into teens and young adults, they have maintained the morals and values that we instilled in them through the club. These include discipline, sportsmanship, respect for others, and teamwork. We remain true to our standards of an environment where players can grow, improve, mature, gain confidence, and overcome adversity. Above all feel that we can compete and have fun simultaneously. We are happy, pleased, and at ease to say MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!

The club’s staff members represent this diversity that we strive for. Our coaches and staff come from many different backgrounds and upbringings. We represent a multitude of different countries such as El Salvador, Haiti, Iran, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Nicaragua, and many more. This includes proudly helping those out who are in real need, such as children in hospitals (donating toys) and donating clothes and sport materials so that children all over the world that do not have the means can also enjoy this beautiful game.

We are fortunate to have coaches who really LOVE and identify with the club. We are always doing in house training for our coaches, as well as supporting them to continue their coaching education in order to grow in and away from the game. Please know that the only thing the coaches have in mind every time they go to the field is how they can help your son or daughter grow alongside them.

SF United FC is a club that counts many, many league and tournament wins, showcases, state cups, president cups and regional league games just to name a few. Among its many accomplishments, though, this is not what matters most to us. Helping spread the love of this beautiful game and using it as a tool to build community is everything to us. We have always promised and ensured that every player is nurtured and develops the grit, resilience, discipline, respect and sportsmanship that serve the players on and off the field throughout their lives. With thousands of alumni from over 2 decades of competitive play, we know our players have the values, love for the sport, skills and drive to make the most of the wonderful opportunities ahead of them.
