Fairmont School has served the southeast side of Vacaville since 1970. During the 2014-2015 school year, Fairmont served a student population of approximately 585 students in transitional kindergarten-sixth grades in twenty one regular education classrooms and two district special day classed. The staff included 30 certificated teachers, including, special day class teachers, resource specialist, physical education specialist, RtI Coordinator, Content Area Specialist/Data Coach, Learning Support Coordinator, and two administrators. The support staff included the part-time school nurse, speech therapist, psychologist, two secretaries, a library technician, translator, health aide, special education instructional assistants, three custodians, two cafeteria workers, and seven noon duty supervisors. Kindergarten through third grade classrooms had no more that thirty students and fourth through sixth grade classrooms averaged thirty one students per teacher. All teachers were certified as highly qualified under No Child Left Behind.
