KIPP Summit Academy is a free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public charter middle school in San Lorenzo, California. Since opening in 2003, KIPP Summit has been committed to creating an empowering, successful, college-preparatory school of choice in San Lorenzo, one of the most under-resourced and overlooked communities in the Bay Area. With a “no excuses and no shortcuts” philosophy, KIPP Summit fosters within its faculty, students and their families the desire, discipline, and dedication necessary to achieve a college education. The majority of KIPP Summit students go on to enroll at KIPP King Collegiate High School, located on the same campus.
