Burton Park is the oldest and best known of our developed parks. The central location and diversity of activities help to draw a wide spectrum of users and is heavy utilized year-round. It currently contains Madsen softball diamond, Flanagan baseball field, a large soccer field, three tennis courts, two full basketball courts, a tennis practice court, two horseshoe pits, the Kiwanis Recreation Building, two children’s play areas (one completely fence-enclosed and each with a play structure, slide, and swings), park benches, picnic tables, barbecue pits, and a turfed play area. The park has extensive landscaping throughout, including a number of mature trees.
