San Miguel School is located in the Larkfield area, just north of Santa Rosa. Of its 420 students nearly one third are on interdistrict transfer. San Miguel is clearly a school of choice. The student and staff population are quite stable. Many teachers have taught at this school for most of their teaching career.
San Miguel's mission is to bring all students up to state standards in reading and mathematics in a nurturing and supportive environment. We work toward a safe and friendly campus where everyone is treated with respect.
San Miguel provides many opportunities for students as they strive to reach their potential as learners and citizens. Our 6-week Books and Beyond reading incentive program promotes reading for enjoyment and the added practice greatly improves reading skills. Students are motivated to read by prizes and gold medals. Our Accelerated Reader program motivates students to read at their grade level all year long.
