Description

At YCIS Silicon Valley, East and West come together in a unique bilingual, multicultural learning community where students grow as confident, compassionate and well-rounded global citizens prepared for the challenges of the 21st century. With an emphasis on nurturing the whole child, and promoting fluency in both English and Mandarin, our balanced curriculum and caring, dedicated teachers foster students’ personal, social and academic growth.

Inclusive and welcoming, YCIS feels like home. Children want to be here, teachers want to teach here and parents are integral here. With low student-to-teacher ratios and small group learning, every child is truly known and individual interests and talents cultivated. At YCIS, children become fluent in so much more than language. They become fluent in life.

YCIS Silicon Valley History:
In 2002, YCIS Silicon Valley opened its doors as a non-profit 501(c)3 school with just a handful of students. Today, we serve over 230 students in Preschool through Grade 6 from more than 40 zip codes in the Bay Area. Our graduates have gone on to some of the best private schools in the Bay Area, as well as highly-ranked public charter and neighborhood schools including: Harker, Castilleja, Nueva, Keys, Girls’ Middle School, Valley Christian, The King’s Academy, Bullis Charter, Summit Denali and more.

In 2011, we opened a new preschool campus on East Middlefield Road, a short walk away from our Easy Street campus. The additional space allowed us to expand our preschool to include a very popular program for two year olds.

In 2014, the addition of portable classrooms at our 310 Easy Street campus offered the opportunity to grow into middle school. We welcomed our inaugural 6th Grade class in August 2015 and will continue to grow through Grade 8 by 2017.
