Yavneh Day School is a K-8, independent, Jewish Day School. We offer a welcoming, inclusive environment, regardless of synagogue affiliation or level of ritual observance.

We are located on the Levy Family Campus in Los Gatos, California which also houses the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center and Preschool, Jewish Family Services and the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley. Yavneh families have easy access to a state-of-the-art gym, tennis courts, swimming pool, athletic fields, a spacious auditorium, and numerous programs and special events throughout the year.

Our Mission is to provide academic excellence in General and Jewish Studies within a strong community where each child is celebrated and challenged. Our students demonstrate leadership, have a passion for learning and embrace social responsibility.

Our academic program develops self-motivated, independent thinkers, with strong leadership, communication and problem solving skills. Our curriculum exceeds California state standards and provides students with a broad range of educational experiences in language arts, mathematics, social sciences, science, Jewish studies, Hebrew language, technology, fine arts and athletics. Multi-level approaches are used in reading, math, and Hebrew language. A special Israeli curriculum addresses the needs of native Hebrew speakers while introductory Hebrew is available at every grade level. In addition to the core curriculum, the school year is filled with the joy of holiday celebrations, field trips and important school “lifecycle” events.
