Little Beans Preschool is dedicated to the development of safe and happy young people. As a Teaching Team, we encourage children to grow, learn and flourish in our classroom, neighborhood and world. We celebrate the many diverse cultures represented by our families and community and co-create with them a loving, sensitive and joyful learning environment

The Little Beans Preschool staff is trained High Scope Teachers. High Scope Curriculum emphasizes adult-child interaction, and allows for an individually designed learning environment, and a plan-do-review process that strengthens initiative and self-reliance in children and young people. Teachers and students are active partners in shaping the educational experience

The curriculum is built around teacher- and child-initiated learning activities in five main curriculum content areas: approaches to learning; language, literacy, & communication; social and emotional development; physical development, health, and well-being; and arts and sciences. Our active learning process allows for us to integrate many multicultural activities which embrace a dedicated anti-bias teaching philosophy.

Within this learning/teaching modality, Little Beans Preschool offers additional family and community enrichments like multi-lingual circle time and cultural celebrations. In partnership with our families we offer active learning interactions to foster the whole child.
