From its pioneering inception in 1994, River School is Napa's first charter school, and is further considered a "California Founding Charter" being one of the first hundred formed in the state. The academic curriculum at River School is rigorous, producing API scores well above 800 by its small but spirited body. The implicit curriculum teaches self-reliance, leadership, and civic/global compassion to prepare students for their 21st century workplace.
