Description

The El Cerrito Library is a small community library, first built in 1949 and expanded to its current size in 1960. The Library collection of over 36,000 items includes books in Spanish and Chinese, and also offers a wide range of DVDs, CDs, magazines, and recorded books. Children enjoy storytimes and homework help as well as special programs such as Rollercoaster Engineers with Lawrence Hall of Science staff and All Ears Reading, where they can read to a friendly dog. We offer a rewarding volunteer program to teens and adults who seek a meaningful way to connect with their community and a vibrant weekly ESL conversation group.
