The water is warm and shallow at Crown Beach. At the west end of the beach is a bathhouse with changing rooms. Swimming is permitted during park hours year round. No lifeguards are on duty.

The summer Aquatics Program consists of youth and adult swim lessons, private lessons, lap swim, tiny tot swim, and public recreational swim.

Our facility houses 2 pools one indoor and one outdoors. Our indoor pool houses all equipment for water fitness exercise. Strawberry Canyon Pool, open only during the summer, has 3 lanes of 25 yards and water temperature maintained at 80-81 degrees F. Three lanes are dedicated to lap swimming – the rest is for recreational. Amenities include locker rooms, hot showers, day lockers (bring your own lock), swimsuit spinners, kickboards, a pool lift for those needing assistance getting into the pool, and wheelchair access to the locker rooms. No towel service is available.

Located in Tilden Regional Park, just over the hill from Berkeley, Lake Anza is a favorite getaway. Its sandy beach is open to the sun and sheltered from the wind, with lifeguards posted during the swim season.

The Castro Valley Swim Center is a seasonal outdoor facility, operating the middle of June through the middle of August. Offering swim lessons, public swim, and swim team.

Forest Hills Swim Club is a member-owned swim facility in the heart of Castro Valley. We are a family-oriented swim club offering a full-size heated pool with diving board and a toddler pool.

Located in Cull Canyon Regional Recreation Area, the swim complex, including bathhouse, vending machines and lifeguard service, is open during the warm weather season. It is ideal for families with small children, who will enjoy splashing in the shallows and playing on the white, sandy beach of the chlorinated swim lagoon. Swimming is allowed only when lifeguards are on duty.

Mission Valley Swim Club (MVSC) is a private, member-owned, family-friendly outdoor swim club in the Mission Valley neighborhood of Fremont, CA.
We have large spacious grounds for your family enjoyment, outdoor BBQ facilities for private parties, and club-hosted social events (such as Family BBQ Days, Movie Nights, & Teen Night). The 6 lane, 25-yard pool has a water slide and is heated to a comfortable temperature, as is the separate kiddie wading pool.

The park is a beautiful water-oriented recreation area, which offers more intensive recreation such as picnicking, boating, swimming and fishing, but also has room for hiking and wildlife viewing.
The swim complex, including the white sandy beach, restrooms, and lifeguard service, is open year round. There is a fee for entry into the swimming complex.

We are a volunteer organized membership community pool established circa 1960 that continues to serve Hayward's Southgate and surrounding neighborhoods. The Hayward Plunge is open year-round for lap swimming, water walking, and public recreational swim. Swim lessons are offered year-round and range from Parent/Toddler to Adult and are all taught by certified American Red Cross Instructors. Additional programs include: Water Fitness, Camps, Certification classes (Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instructor), and Swim Teams and/or Conditioning.

The Sunset Swim Center is a seasonal outdoor facility, operating the middle of June through the middle of August, offering swim lessons, public swim, and swim team.

Located in Don Castro Regional Recreation Area, swimming in the chlorinated swim lagoon is a main attraction from the end of May through September. There is a bathhouse with shower, vending machines, a sandy beach and large lawn areas. Swimming is allowed only when lifeguards are on duty.

Several picnic tables and charcoal BBQs are available for use inside the swim area on a first-come, first-serve basis. No alcohol and no glass containers are allowed. Portable gas grills are allowed, but not on the beach nor on the grass. Check fire restrictions before you visit. Beach wheelchairs are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.

Del Valle Regional Park offers two swimming beaches with lifeguards on duty during posted periods. Year-round swimming is allowed without lifeguard service north of the boat ramp.

The Robert Livermore Aquatics Center spans 45,000 square feet with a 25-yard-by-33-meter main pool with 13 lanes available for lap and recreational swimming, lessons, water polo, and exercise classes.

The Center’s zero-depth-entry activity pool has an interactive play structure with waterfalls and water cannons. The pool also includes a 22-foot-long spiral water slide.

This year-round facility offers various programs and classes designed for all ages.

The May Nissen Swim Center is a recreational pool facility open to the community during summer. The District has operated the May Nissen Swim Center since 1962. This facility features an eight-lane lap pool measuring 25 meters long by 20 yards wide. An additional wading pool within the facility is perfect for little ones.

This facility houses the District's American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program, water exercise classes, and recreational swimming. Come on down and enjoy the community's retro gem.

Together, the Activity Center and the Water Park form an award-winning center offering a variety of entertainment and activities for all ages with a combination of large water slides*, a lazy river, 15 people warm water spa, open lap pool, and children's activity pool! The aquatic center is an exciting 32,000 square foot Indoor Water Park located Newark, California off the 880 freeway and Mowry Avenue in the Tri-City Area! East Oakland Sports Center Pool is located at the East Oakland Sports Center next to Ira Jinkins Recreation Center.

The goal of the Trefethen Aquatic Center is to create an environment that promotes safety and enjoyment for ALL pool users. Oakland Hills Tennis Club is a family tennis, aquatics and athletic club nestled in the Oakland Hills. We feature 10 outdoor, lighted courts, an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, weights, cardio equipment, aerobic classes, massage, sauna, steam rooms and much, much more.

Lions pool is located at Dimond Park, adjacent to Dimond Recreation Center and serves the Dimond & Laurel district with fun, safe and recreational programs. Pool use includes swimming classes and lessons for tiny tots, children and adults, swim team practice and much more.

Located in Roberts Regional Recreation Area, the newly renovated Roberts Pool complex features six competition swim lanes and two cool down lanes (approximately 5,600 sq. ft.) including additional shallow areas for recreation, swim lessons, and training. Recent upgrades to the pool and pool deck also include new retaining walls, planting, irrigation, a new entry kiosk, fences/gates, and ADA parking. Visitors can enjoy a public changing room building with gender-neutral facilities and ADA access.

Swimming is allowed only when lifeguards are on duty. Programs offered at the pool include group and private swim lessons, recreational swim, and fitness swimming.

Temescal Pool is located at Oakland Technical High School, adjacent to Studio One Arts Center and serves the Downtown and North Oakland community with fun, safe and recreational programs. Located in the Temescal Regional Recreation Area, Lake Temescal has an accessible Beach House adjacent to the swim area which offers changing rooms and showers. Swimming is allowed without lifeguards. Swimming is generally prohibited November through March, because of poor water quality. Beach wheelchairs are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis when lifeguards are on duty.

deFremery Pool is located near deFremery Recreation Center. We serve the West Oakland community with fun, safe, educational and recreational programs. The pool use includes a variety of classes including swim lessons for pre-school, youth and adults, swim team, recreational swim and so much more.

Fremont pool is located adjacent High School and serves the East Oakland community with fun, safe and recreational programs. The pool use includes a variety of classes including swim lessons for pre-school, youth and adults, swim team, water aerobics, recreational swim and so much more.

Swimming was the main reason The Hills opened its doors in the summer of 1962. Pacific Masters Record Holder Al Kallunki taught swimming and brought team swimming to The Hills through the 1960's and 1970's. His dedication to the learn-to-swim program gave The Hills a solid reputation of producing talented swimmers. From lap and recreation swimming, we also offer beginning swimming at all ages to advanced senior level competition. With private and group lessons we prepare swimmers to join our year round Hills Hurricane Swim Team where we compete against the top swimmers in one of the nation's top leagues, "Pacific Swimming". The Hills swim team is a member of the United States Swimming Organization.

The Del Prado Cabana Club (DPCC) is a members only club for residents of the Del Prado neighborhood. The cabana club has an olympic sized main pool, baby pool, volleyball courts, chaise lounges, and two BBQ areas for reserved events. There are currently 392 members and 20 potential members on the waiting list. The current wait time is around 1-2 years so sign up soon to be added to the list. The Cabana Club is open from early May until late August. Throughout the season the club hosts events such as Easter Egg Hunt, 4th of July Bike Ride, Adult Parties, Food Trucks, and BBQ’s. The Del Prado Cabana Club is also the home to the Del Prado Stingray Swim Team.

Pleasanton Valley Club is Pleasanton's premiere Family Swim and Cabana Club. PVC offers a casual, park-like setting that is ideal for spending quality time with family and friends. Activities include adult lap swim, recreational swimming, picnic BBQ stations and swim lessons. Our club is also the home to the PVC Dolphins, the championship summer swim team in the tri-valley.

Located in the Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area, the swimming beach has a bathhouse and refreshment stand, open on weekends in spring and fall, and daily during summer months. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer months, but swimming is allowed throughout the year in the designated area, at the swimmer's own risk. For lifeguard service schedule, check hours above.

Beach wheelchairs, intended to provide a means for wheelchair users to travel across the beach, are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Pets and glass containers are not allowed on the sand portion of the swim area. Swimming is not allowed in the arroyo areas.

The San Leandro Family Aquatic Center (SLFAC) is located at Washington Manor Park. This dynamic, state of the art facility offers an activity pool with zero depth entry and water play structure, three 25-yard lap lanes, and a 17-foot tall water slide. For your convenience, the SLFAC has restroom and shower facilities, a family changing room, and outdoor day-use lockers.
The SLFAC is under renovation and will open in August 2024.

The Boys & Girls Club Pool is an indoor facility that is open year-round. This facility offers a heated pool with five 25-yard lap lanes, which can accommodate swimmers and non-swimmers, locker rooms with day usage lockers, family locker room, and an enclosed patio with tables. Aquatic programs at this pool include swimming lessons, recreational swim, water exercise classes, and lap swim.

Farrelly Pool is located adjacent to Roosevelt Elementary School. This facility offers a heated pool with seven 25-yard lap lanes, which can accommodate swimmers and non-swimmers, changing areas, outdoor lockers, restroom and shower facilities. Aquatics programs at this pool include swimming lessons and lap swim.

The Arroyo Swim Center is a seasonal outdoor facility, operating the middle of June through the middle of August. Offering swim lessons, public swim, lap swim and swim team.

The Union City Aquatics program operates out of the James Logan High School Dan Oden Swim Complex which includes one outdoor, heated pool. It is mandatory that you wear a swim suit in the pool. We recommend that you bring a towel to dry off and children wear a rash guard during colder weather. Floatation devices and life jackets are not allowed in the pool.

The Antioch Water Park features 5 pools, 5 water slides and a Splash and Sprayground.

Vista Diablo Cabana Club is a private neighborhood social swim club open to member’s families and is located at 850 Sullivan Ave. in Concord, Ca. It was founded in 1966 and has operated successfully since then.
Members and their children can enjoy swimming in our 36-foot by 75-foot pool, and there is a 16- x 16-foot wading pool for pre-schoolers. Members can also socialize and BBQ with friends and guests, have a picnic, grab that sun tan on the back lawn, and play ping pong and other games inside the clubhouse, which may be rented for parties.

The Crockett Swimming Pool, built in 1966, has been serving the communities of Crockett and Port Costa for almost 50 years. Completely renovated in 2011, our beautiful swimming pool facility provides modern pool plumbing, filters, pumps and lighting that meet all of the latest state requirements. Our swimming pool is ADA compliant.

Our facility features two poolside patio areas with umbrella covered tables, a lush green lawn area for sitting and a raised sun deck for enjoying the warm summer sunshine. We also have a 1' wading pool for the little ones. Our pool is fully staffed with Red Cross Certified Lifeguards who are on duty during all pool operating hours.

Sun Valley Pool has been the summer home for Lamorinda families since 1953. Conveniently located off Pleasant Hill Road, the pool provides a safe and friendly extension of your own backyard – featuring a six-lane pool, a wading pool, BBQ grills and Wi-Fi access. Sun Valley Pool is proud to be the home of the accomplished Sun Valley Rays Swim Team.

Oakwood's Pool is 25 yards in length and is heated to 81 degrees year round.

Spring, summer, fall or winter… regardless of the season, there's plenty of activity at the pool. The Rankin Aquatic Center is a two-pool complex. The Lap Pool is 3 -12 ft deep with a diving tank and lanes for lap swimming. The Splash/Bucket Pool is zero to 3 ft deep with water bucket that drops every few minutes...a favorite of the children! Both pools are kept at approximately 82 degrees.

Nestled in the foothills between Orinda and Moraga, MVP is a vital and enduring part of the Orinda & Moraga community, with innovative swim & tennis programs, summer day camp, club social activities, friendly staff, and stunning natural setting. MVP provides members, their families and friends, and all who come to play, with a safe, family oriented environment for lifelong recreation, instruction, fun, and competition.

Oak Springs Clubhouse is the perfect setting for your next event. Available for family gatherings, graduations, birthday parties, wedding and baby showers, family reunions and children's parties. Our renovated Clubhouse features a large furnished recreational room and flat screen TV's with cable access, multimedia center and WIFI. This hidden gem is nestled in the hills of Orinda, just a few minutes from the Orinda Theater Square. With reasonable membership dues and no swim team, we offer lounge chairs, an outdoor heated shower and a diving board, and there are no closed dates for swim team activities.

Orinda Park Pool is a members-only, community-run, community-funded non-profit organization with a rich heritage of family fun in the sun, and is home to the Stingrays Swim Team. OPP is the largest, most unique and scenic pool in the area. Enjoy acres of amenities where you can picnic, bask in the sun, or relax in the shade of towering oaks.

You need not live in Orinda to join OPP, we are open to all.

SHSTC is a family-based swim and tennis club nestled in the Sleepy Hollow neighborhood of Orinda, CA. Members enjoy year round swimming, tennis and social gatherings in a newly renovated state-of-the-art facility. The only thing nicer than the club grounds are the members who belong.

Since 1955 Meadow has been committed to developing strong recreational swim and tennis programs, fostering a tight-knit community, and providing social opportunities for families throughout Lamorinda.

Newly remodeled in 2008, Meadow features a 6-lane gutterless competition pool with a dive well and shallow play area for recreational use.

The City of Pinole’s municipal swimming pool opened on or about 1990. The pool is located at 2450 Simas Avenue. The City’s pool is XX meter and has five (5) lanes and is kept at a comfortable 80 degrees. The pool depth ranges from 3.5 feet to 9 feet.

The City also offers a small pool for beginners, small children or parent getting their children use to the water. The children's measures 25' x 25' and is two and a half (2.5) feet deep.

The facility and pool offers the following amenities, a handicap chair lift, full lockers to put your personal items and showers.

Through a contract with the Pinole Seals Swim Club we offer, lap swim and recreational swim.

For non-swimmers or parents, the City does offer a shaded grass area, a viewing or sitting deck, and several tables with benches.

The Pleasant Hill Aquatics, Inc. (PHAI) swimming pool is a member owned private swim facility built in 1954. When you purchase a membership with the PHAI Swim Club you become part owner of the facility and property. Our pool has provided a rich tradition of community activity and camaraderie for over fifty years and is a place where families and friends gather from April to October to cool off, exercise, barbecue and socialize.PHAI is home to the Penguins and Emperor Penguins swim teams. PHAI is proud of our summer recreational swim team program where young swimmers improve their skills, learn sportsmanship as they compete against other swimmers, and have fun-filled, enjoyable summers.We offer our members swim lessons for beginning, intermediate and advanced swimmers. Our very qualified coaches and lifeguards provide lesson sign-up books at the beginning of the swim season. Check at the Gatekeepers Office for lesson books.

Keller Beach is at the north end of Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline. There, visitors can wade and swim in San Francisco Bay. No lifeguards are on duty. Picnic tables and restrooms are nearby.

Drop in during the Rec Swim Hours indicated on the pool schedule for time to play in the pool. On warm days, it tends to be busy so a waitlist may be used when we are full. There is no guaranteed entry during Rec Swim hours.

The San Ramon Olympic Pool & Aquatic Park is located adjacent to California High School. The facility contains group picnic areas, a zero-entry play pool, 25-meter pool and Olympic Pool (50-meter) with a water slide and diving boards. This facility is a year-round facility with its peak attendance during the warm summer months.

The Livorna Estates Pool Club is a fun, family-oriented environment where parents and children of all ages can spend time together during the warm seasons. Our pool is a place where children play and meet new friends while parents get a chance to relax, socialize, and take a dip! Our pool features a 6-lane “Big Pool” and a smaller “Baby Pool” for young children.

During operating hours, Livorna Pool is guarded by two certified lifeguards that are easily recognizable by the red shorts they wear. Our lifeguards are well trained in water safety and emergency procedures such as first aid and CPR breathing techniques. The lifeguards only watch the lap pool. Children in the small pool must be accompanied by an adult.

DVRA is a community pool, open annually to its members mid May through mid October. We are open from dawn to dusk (no swim team). Annual dues, accepted payment methods and membership requirements are outlined in the membership form.

Dewing Park Swim Club has been a summer gathering place for Walnut Creek families for
close to 70 years. A private, members-only club Dewing offers expansive grounds with a new five-
lane pool, a wading pool, recreational activities. Dewing Park is also the proud home of
the Seahorses swim team and the Sea Ponies learn-to-swim program.

Located in Castle Rock Regional Recreation Area adjacent to Diablo Foothills Regional Park, the Castle Rock pool complex features a 30 feet by 70 feet chlorinated swimming pool and deck areas. The complex is fully accessible to individuals with disabilities, including the bathhouse and an accessible lift into the pool. Swimming is allowed only when lifeguards are on duty.

Just off of Geary Road in Walnut Creek sits a neighborhood swim club that has served the area where Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill and Lafayette merge for over 60 years. The Larkey Private Swim Club offers a competition-sized swimming pool, sport court, clubhouse, covered and uncovered picnic and BBQ areas, and baby pool.

Our award-winning swim team, the Larkey Sharks, are truly the heart of our club — bringing children of all ages together for wholesome and healthy activities all summer long.

This 6.6 acre beach, near the town of Bolinas, provides access to almost two miles of ocean shoreline at low tide. Together with adjacent Duxbury Reef, Agate Beach offers amazing opportunities to explore tide pools filled with marine life, general beach recreation, wildflower viewing, bird watching, and on clear days, incredible views to the Farallon Islands and beyond.
Agate Beach is part of the Duxbury Reef State Marine Reserve, which includes Federal and State jurisdictions and signifies its status as a sensitive and highly protected resource area. Marin County Parks jurisdiction includes the upland area. When visiting Agate Beach, please remember that collection of rocks, shells, and any other marine life is prohibited. Collection of red abalone and fishing from shore for fin fish is allowed in accordance with California Fish and Game Code and with the correct California Department of Fish and Wildlife permit.

The Cañon Swim & Tennis Club has Marin's best sports and leisure facilities tucked into one of Ross Valley's most beautiful golden canyons. It's a beautiful day at The Cañon Club.

Chicken Ranch Beach is north of Inverness, adjacent to Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and nestled along the west shore of Tomales Bay. This three acre natural area serves the small communities of Inverness and neighboring Point Reyes Station, as well as visitors to the west Marin area. Chicken Ranch Beach provides access to Tomales Bay and is a popular kayak spot. The small sandy beach is a serene place to relax and enjoy bucolic west Marin, have a picnic, fly a kite, or stop-over during the long drive to Point Reyes National Seashore. Dogs are allowed on leash.

This day-use park features multiple gently sloping, surf-free beaches, protected from winds by Inverness Ridge, the backbone of the Point Reyes Peninsula. Tomales Bay State Park is composed of 3 distinct use areas:
Heart's Desire - Located at 1100 Pierce Point Road, in Inverness, Heart's Desire is the heart of Tomales Bay State Park. Here you will find the parks Ranger Station, Heart's Desire Beach, Vista Point Picnic Area, and hiking trails to Indian Beach, Pebble Beach, and Shell Beach. Dogs are not permitted on any beaches or trails in this area.
Shell Beach - Located at the end of Camino Del Mar in Inverness, Shell Beach offers two small beaches with access to the Johnstone trail which connects to Heart's Desire. The beaches are only accessible by hiking trail from the parking lot and spaces in the lot are very limited. Dogs are not permitted on any beaches or trails in this area.
Millerton Point Located at 15475 HWY 1, north of Point Reyes Station, Millerton Point sits on the inland side of the bay and features Alan Sieroty Beach along with a loop trail. Dogs are not permitted on the beach, but are allowed on the loop trail while on leash.

This quiet cove, beach, and lagoon tucked into the coastline three miles west of Muir Woods—is a favorite spot among locals. You can go up to the newly completed, multi-use Dias Ridge trail—a segment of the Bay Ridge Trail—on a ridgeline above Muir Beach. This new trail offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and Marin coastline.

Or go east along the trail (uphill) to scenic Coyote Ridge or south along the breathtaking Coastal Trail to Tennessee Cove. Look for a small signpost north of Muir Beach along Highway 1 that points the way to Muir Beach Overlook.

There are no lifeguards at Muir Beach. The northernmost end of the beach is popular with clothing-optional sunbathers

A family oriented club set among beautiful surroundings, Scott Valley Swimming & Tennis Club strives to provide an environment that fosters health, recreation and a sense of community for its members, guests and employee partners.

The renovated facility was transformed in 2010 from its weathered 1930s era condition, to a state-of-the-art pool that's perfect for swim instruction, deep water exercise, and recreational use. The Hamilton Pool site is also home to an exciting water play structure with a slide and lots of water spray, great for even our youngest residents on those hot summer days.

Located behind the Sleepy Hollow Clubhouse, the 25-yard pool is heated and runs from a depth of 3 ½ feet to 8 feet. A 1' deep baby pool is also available.

Lifeguards are on duty during the pool season, which begins on Memorial Day Weekend and runs through the end of September. Other facilities include changing rooms, a grassy area for sunbathing and play, a snack bar and a separate play area for children.

Rafael Racquet Club is a family-friendly swim and tennis club located in the sunny hills of San Rafael. We pride ourselves on giving our members something more than just a place to play tennis or swim laps; we give our members an escape from the everyday.

55-acre McNears Beach Park sits in a beautiful sheltered cove along the shores of San Pablo Bay. A swimming pool and snack bar are open during the summer season. Year-round facilities include group picnic areas, expansive turf, sand volleyball courts, renovated tennis courts, and a popular fishing pier for sturgeon, stripped bass, shark, perch, halibut, and crab. A designated "trailhead" on the San Francisco Bay Area Water Trail, McNears Beach offers easy carry-in access for kayaks and canoes. Parking and pier are wheelchair accessible. Learn about park hours and fees for entry, parking and pool use. Sorry, no dogs or other companion animals at McNears, except service animals.

McNears Beach Park Pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Access fee - $5.00 per person.

The Marinwood Aquatic Facility is surrounded by beautiful grounds and next to Marinwood Park and Playground. The aquatic facility consists of an outdoor 25-yard length main pool with a double-flume waterslide, as well as a tot pool for children less than 7 years of age.

The facility opens in the spring and closes for the season in late fall. People can purchase a pool membership, punch pass or pay a daily drop-in. Group Swim Lessons are offered for children in the summer. Private/Semi-Private Lessons are also available to both children and adults.

Visitors can enjoy wildlife-watching, mountain biking, hiking, picnicking, horseback riding, swimming, boating (small vessels) and windsurfing at the park. Undeveloped boat launch areas are available at Bullhead Flat and lower China Camp Village. Easy access is tide dependent.

Stinson’s white sand and oceanfront make it one of the best swimming beaches in northern California. With opportunities for hiking, picnicking, exploring the town, surfing, or sunbathing, people continue to visit Stinson Beach to escape from the frantic pace of everyday life, just they have been doing for over a century.

Stinson Beach is open year round every day. The entrance gates open at 9:00 a.m. Closing times vary depending on season. Check the posted sign when you enter the parking lot.
Although the average summer water temperature is a cold 58º F (14º C) Stinson Beach remains a popular surf spot. The best times of year for surfing are winter and spring. For windsurfers, the prevailing northwesterly winds blow best in the afternoon. The summer surf is most suitable for rafters and body-boarders.
Lifeguards are generally on duty from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
A snack bar is open during summer months at the base of the main lifeguard tower.
Rest rooms are located along the beach adjacent to each of the parking areas. The shower (cold) is located at the central rest room building.
Dogs are allowed on leash in the parking lot, picnic areas, and on the county beach. However, pets are not allowed on the National Park Service section of the beach.
Inner tubes and motorized recreational equipment are prohibited in swimming areas.
Camping is not permitted.

The City of American Canyon Parks and Recreation Department provides a wide array of aquatic programs at the Phillip West Aquatic Center, located at 100 Benton Way. Many of the aquatic programs are held on a year-round basis. The pool water is heated to 82°.

The Aquatic Center includes a six-lane 25 yard swimming pool, a wading pool that is operated in the summer months, outdoor showers, restrooms and dressing rooms.

Community Center Pool

The 10,000-square-foot Coffman Pool, originally built in 1957, was refreshed in 2008, and is located on Visitacion Avenue and Hahn Streets within Herz Playground at the southeastern entrance of McLaren Park. A hidden gem for city swimmers, Coffman offers a variety of swim programs for all ages, including recreational swim, learn-to-swim classes, water aerobics, underwater hockey and lap swim.

Another hidden pool gem, MLK Pool features a 25-yard x 25-meter pool and a separate wading pool for tots. This pool offers lap swim, senior lap swim, Learn-to-Swim, and self-guided water exercise.

From Youth Swim Team to adult Group Swim lessons, Stonestown Family YMCA Aquatics has something for everyone! Our Aquatics Program promotes a healthy and active lifestyle for all, while giving members and youth a place to practice low impact exercises in a safe and positive environment.

A neighborhood favorite, Sava Pool reopened in 2009 after a $17 million renovation. It features a 25-yard, eight-lane multi-purpose pool that accommodates recreation, lap and competitive swimming. The unique design of the building maximizes the use of natural lighting and ventilation with rooftop monitors and a south facing window wall.

Garfield Pool recently completed a renovation project that included a full overhaul of the existing pool building, and the demolition and replacement of the adjacent clubhouse building. The newly reconfigured recreation center includes a shared entry lobby to access the pool facility and clubhouse, a new multi-purpose courtyard, improved park accessibility and new landscaping. Garfield Pool offers lap swim, senior swim, recreation swim, fitness and exercise classes, and lessons.

The 4,565 square foot Mission Pool was constructed in 1916, and is located on 19th Street between Linda and Valencia Streets in the Mission District. It’s the only City-operated outdoor pool in San Francisco, offering a 90′ x 40′ pool for learn-to-swim, recreational and lap swim programs during the summer months and beyond.

A favorite swimming spot for locals in the Richmond District, Rossi Swimming Pool offers an array of classes and programs, from learn-to-swim, lap and recreational swims for tots, youths, adults and seniors.

Make a splash at Hamilton Pool, one of the city's most popular swimming destinations. Hamilton features a heated pool and not one, but two indoor water slides, the only ones in the city. This pool offers lap swim, senior swim, recreation swim and lessons.

Enjoy family time in the JCCSF's warm recreational pool. To assure safety, an adult must accompany children under age 7 in the water. A parent or caregiver must be present in the pool area with children under age 13, and participants must pass a swim test to be allowed in the deeper lanes of the pool. Pool toys are not permitted during family swim. Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved life vests are permitted.

Stretching a mile below the rugged cliffs on the Presidio’s western shoreline, Baker Beach’s spectacular outside-the-Gate views of the Bridge and the Marin Headlands are unsurpassed.

Keep your eye out for harbor porpoises frolicking in the surf and for California’s State Rock (serpentine). Learn about an early 20th-century “disappearing gun”. Picnic and restroom facilities available.

On sunny weekends, be prepared for crowds and parking congestion.

Baker Beach can be warm enough for sunbathing and picnicking.

North Beach Swimming Pool has long been a neighborhood destination for swimmers of all ages. The facility features two pools (a 25-meter x 21' lap pool and a 89' x 21' recreation pool) to accommodate a variety of aquatic programs and needs. This pool offers lap swim, senior/therapy swim, self guided exercise, family swim, learn to swim lessons, tiny tots lesssons, preschool lessons, and adult swim lessons.

A $9 million renovation project has transformed this neighborhood favorite into a state-of-the-art swimming facility featuring new community rooms for events, new mechanical and plumbing systems to improve the comfort of patrons, and a thoughtful redesign that prioritizes pedestrian safety and accessibility for all. A pool divider allows for increased programming with flexibility for recreational and lap swim, while a new mural by local artist Jason Jägel features people and animals making a splash. Balboa Pool offers lap swim, senior swim, recreation swim, fitness and exercise classes, and lessons.

The Brisbane Community Pool, located at 2 Solano Street, was built in 2000 in part by funds from the Northeast Ridge development. It is a 25 yd/75 ft outdoor pool with a zero-depth entry pool for disability access, heated to 79-81 degrees using solar and conventional heating. The pool employs professionally trained aquatic staff who are certified lifeguards with the American Red Cross.

Our recreational swim is open to swimmers of all ages for Burlingame and non-Burlingame residents alike! Participants are welcome to bring balls, floats, and other toys (excluding water guns, launchers, etc.) to use to have fun in the pool! We ask that non-potty trained children wear a swim diaper to keep our pool nice and clean!

The Giammona Pool is a year-round indoor, heated swimming facility that features 11 swimming lanes, a therapy pool, and a classroom. The pool is located at 131 Westmoor Avenue at the south end of Westmoor High School. Lap swim, recreation swim, swimming lessons, pool parties and more are available at the pool.

Millbrae Meadows Swimming Club, Inc (MMSC) is a non-profit organization. Ladera Oaks has two, full-sized 25-yard pools that are heated year-round. The eight-lane, rim-flow upper pool is all-deep and perfectly maintained for lap and competitive swimming. The family-oriented lower pool is kept at a warmer temperature; it has a diving well and a wading area, so you and your children can all play safely in an expansive pool.

Our swimming pool is a perfect place for recreational swim, lap swimming, or hosting a swim party. Amid a stunning setting, Ladera Recreation District features 2 swimming pools.

The main pool is an L-shaped pool with a 10-foot-deep diving well with a diving board. There are 6 lap lanes ranging in depth from 3 feet in the shallow end to 5 feet deep in the deep end. The pool is heated to a constant temperature of 82 degrees and is lit for early morning and evening swim.

The wading pool resides inside a fully fenced and gated area to provide a safe and secure environment for those under 5 years of age. The wading pool is kidney shaped with a depth ranging from 1 foot to 2 feet deep.

During the winter months, the pool is covered by a dome, to keep swimmers warm and spectators dry. The pool also offers a diving board, a baby pool, and a water slide (April-October).

Los Ranchitos Cabana Club is a private, non-profit recreation facility open to
members, their families and guests. We are located near the intersection Campbell Avenue
and San Tomas Aquino in Campbell, California.

Our facility has a swimming pool, barbecues, basketball court and 2 play areas for toddlers and older children. It’s a popular place for parties, swimming workouts, or just relaxing with your neighbors.

LRCC is the home of the Sharks, a competitive swim team for kids up to 18 years old, competing in the Valley Aquatics League.

The Campbell Pool is an outdoor 25-yard pool featuring eight lanes. The pool depth is 3.5 feet at the shallow end and 9.5 feet at the deep end. The target temperature is kept at 80 degrees year-round by solar and gas heat. Kickboards are available, and lap swimmers can bring other equipment such as pull buoys, masks, and fins. Bring your own lock for locker room use.

Established in 1962 as a California Corporation, Cloverdale Cabana Club is a MEMBERS-ONLY social non profit. Over the years, Cloverdale has evolved into a community asset and a gathering spot for friends and neighbors. Monies in the form of membership dues and fees are used to improve the club and/or pay for day-to-day operations. All paid members are part of the corporation with full access to the club during normal business hours. Members also vote to elect the board of directors. Board members are volunteers. The only compensated employees are our lifeguards. Most property improvement projects are volunteer driven.

Laurelhurst Cabana Club is a non-profit, private membership swimming pool located in Cupertino, California. We are located at the intersection of Fallenleaf Lane and Colony Hills Lane in the quiet community of Laurelhurst. It's a great place for families to swim, play, and relax without having to maintain your own pool. Many of our members have small children who have learned to swim at Laurelhurst. In addition to family memberships we also offer “couples” memberships, where singles and couples (without children living at home), can use the facility for swimming, socializing, or just relaxing in the sun. With our limited membership, the pool is rarely crowded, and at times, Laurelhurst can feel like your very own private pool.

Our annual season opens the 1st weekend of May and runs until October (closure in the fall is determined by the seasonal weather). During the season, the pool is open from 9:00am-9:00pm.

Rancho Rinconada is a public facility equipped with a pool, playground, barbecue area, and indoor hall. we are located near the corner of Bollinger and Lawrence Expressway in Cupertino. The 25 yard pool is heated, equipped with a handicap lift, and has a depth of 2 and a half feet to 9 and a half feet. The barbecue area and indoor hall are available to rent for parties, birthdays, weddings, or other events.

Cupertino Hills is a member-owned swim and tennis club located west of Bubb Road, near the Monta Vista neighborhood. Our beautiful, three-acre facility provides relaxed recreational and social activities for families of all ages. Cupertino Hills also offers six tennis courts, a six-lane 25-yard pool, a shallow training pool for younger children, an activity center for meetings and parties, two outdoor barbeque-picnic areas, a children's playground, volleyball and table tennis.

Blackberry Farm is a large park nestled in the heart of the Monta Vista neighborhood. The park is centrally located within the Stevens Creek Corridor, adjacent to McClellan Ranch Reserve and the Blackberry Farm Golf Course. The Stevens Creek Trail runs through the corridor connecting all three facilities. The park features picnic sites for groups up to 400 people, an on-site café, two swimming pools, a waterslide, a playground, horseshoe courts, sand volleyball courts, and bocce ball courts. Blackberry Farm is a seasonal facility - the pools, café, and picnic sites are open to the public May-September. The trail, playground, and courts can be enjoyed year-around.

Swim lessons, recreation swim and more is now available at the Christopher High School Aquatics Center. Swimming Swan will be managing the Aquatics Center on behalf of the City of Gilroy Recreation.

Centennial Recreation Center Pool: This pool has a slide, water play feature, and three lap lanes 20 yards in length. It is heated year-round to approximately 83-84 degrees. The pool is open for lap swimming, swim lessons, and water play time. The slide is currently only available on Saturday afternoons.

Eichler’s swimming program is full of opportunities to get in shape or simply splash and cool off. Babies all the way to seniors enjoy our swimming pools every day, rain or shine.

Rancho Santa Teresa Swim & Racquet Club was founded in 1966 and is one of the largest cabana clubs in Silicon Valley. RSTSRC is a non-profit organization owned by 761 homeowners. Membership is defined and limited to the homes in a specific club boundary in the Rancho Santa Teresa neighborhood. Per club by-laws, membership to RSTSRC is obligatory and memberships cannot be bought or sold at any time. We have three swimming pools, one jacuzzi, two tennis courts, a sand volleyball area, half basketball court, a great recreation room (open seasonally) and much more. Almaden Oaks Community Center was established in 1963 when the Almaden Oaks developer granted the land and facilities to the original Almaden Oaks board.

The AOCC has been a membership based pool that offers very low membership rates. What separates the AOCC pool from other cabana clubs in the area is that we offer guards on duty during regular hours. This will allow parents to relax and interact with other parents knowing their children are being watched by certified lifeguards.

We have a very large grassy area with plenty of shade. So if you want to work on your tan or just relax in the shade, Almaden Oaks has what you're looking for.

Camden Pool is located in Camden Community Center. This pool offers summer Swim Lessons. This is an outdoor single-pool facility with a shade structure.

Westgate Cabana Club was founded in 1962. Friendly pool community open to all neighborhoods. Large (75’x 30’) heated (81 to 83 degrees) outdoor swimming pool. Separate shaded, heated (83-86 degrees) wading pool for children 5 and under. Open weekends and holidays, and daily during summer.

Queensborough Pool is a local community pool, located in the city of San Jose, CA. We offer family memberships, facilities for meetings and events, and swimming lessons.

Queensborough Pool offers a family friendly setting complete with life guards, BBQ area, lounge chairs, showers and covered tables.

The Mission of Forest Park Cabana Club is to promote health and fitness through the sport of swimming and to provide a safe and fun recreational venue where children and adult members can socialize, renew, relax, recharge and reconnect to neighborhood living.

An eight acre park, Mary Gomez has a swimming pool, two tennis courts, basketball court and small children's play area. In addition, the park has off-street parking, an open play area suitable for games, picnic-barbecue facilities, and restrooms. The park was named in honor of Mary Gomez, an outstanding Santa Clara Unified School District teacher who also participated in the development of the City's Parks & Recreation Department. She also served on its first commission, which formulated the City's policy to try to place a park in every neighborhood.

A 6 acre park, Warburton Park was named in honor of Austen Warburton in 1962. Mr. Warburton was a descendent of a pioneer California family, and lived his entire life -- November, 1917 to May, 1995 -- in Santa Clara. He was a beloved civic leader, serving as a City Planning Commissioner, City Council Member and a Regent of Santa Clara University, and was known as "Mr. Santa Clara". Warburton Park also contains the Warburton Swim Center, picnic areas, open space, restrooms, a playground and basketball courts.

Membership is limited to 250 families. Memberships can be purchased for a one time fee and sold at a future time, the price is set by the seller. Saratoga Woods Swim Team participates in Junipero Serra Swim League. Every year we compete at League Championships which are held traditionally at Stanford Avery Stadium.

We have two professionally trained coaches to train our swim team. Both coaches have competitive swimming backgrounds.

Our professionally coached swim team fosters a healthy environment where children of all ages and abilities build self-esteem and a winning attitude for life. This is achieved through daily practice sessions, Saturday swim meets, team fun days, parent participation, and weekly achievement awards.

The City of Fairfield provides year round aquatic operation at the Aquatics Complex at Allan Witt Park. Enjoy the warm waters of the indoor Natatorium all year and cool off during the summer by enjoying outdoor amenities including the Big & Little Dipper water slides, Playland Lagoon and Lil’ Squirt wet play area.

Walter V. Graham Aquatic Center has one large competition pool that has a depth of 7.5 ft. to 13 ft. and one recreation pool that has a depth of 3.5 ft. to 5 ft.

A heated Olympic-size pool (50 meters x 25 yards) located at 801 Heartwood Ave. This year-round Facility is the home of the Greater Vallejo Water Polo team, the Vallejo Aquatics Club swim team, Jesse Bethel High School water polo and swim teams, St. Patrick's-St. Vincent's High School water polo and swim teams, and Benicia High School's water polo team. The facility hosts a variety of on-going programs for the greater Vallejo community. On-site dressing rooms and showers are available.

The designated swim beach is found at Yorty Creek, on the north side of Lake Sonoma and reached by Hot Springs Road through Cloverdale. Yorty is a day use area with a large sandy beach, covered picnic shelters, a playground, and a fisherman’s trail. Near the Public Boat Ramp is a large swim area with shade although this area is not recommended for young children because of an extreme drop-off in the lake just off-shore. While visiting Lake Sonoma you are welcome to swim almost anywhere you can safely enter and there are several coves on the shoreline where boats must limit speed to 5 mph.

The YMCA swim lessons involve individualized swim instruction taught by caring instructors who guide students with praise and encouragement, while emphasizing personal safety. The Y offers a wide range of swimming options for the whole family that will help build strong swimming skills, personal endurance and a healthy body while allowing for continual growth in self-confidence and social skills.

Francis Ford Coppola created a place for families to come and enjoy all the best things in life. Situated in the center of the park, two swimming pools with a swim-thru (totalling 3,600 square feet!) and private Cabines allow guests to enjoy a relaxing summer day at the winery.

Access to the pool experience is available exclusively through Cabine reservations. Each Cabine comes equipped with a private shower, space to change, and towels for day use. Cabine packages also include up to four pool passes, use of four lounge chairs, and a deck of playing cards. When all the swimming and relaxing makes you hungry, enjoy ordering food and drinks, available throughout the day, from the Pool Café. Please note that individual pool passes are unavailable for day use.

Located in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country, in a place known as the Valley of the Moon, this diverse geothermal springs sanctuary borders Sonoma Creek and is nestled among a canopy of large oaks, open meadows and rolling hills – perfect for picnics, reunions, family recreation, corporate retreats and meetings, birthdays, weddings, and class field trips.

A Russian River tradition for nearly a century, Johnson’s Beach is a favorite summer spot for Sonoma County locals and visitors alike. Sunning, swimming and floating at Johnson’s Beach is as much a Sonoma County pastime as wine tasting and strolling through the redwoods.
Located ninety minutes north of the Bay Area in the charming and eclectic town of Guerneville, this classic summer getaway sits in the heart of the Russian River Valley and provides the quintessential summertime river experience.

This park offers a beach for swimming on the Russian River, picnic areas, restrooms, and a par course. The beach is staffed with lifeguards daily from July through Labor Day. The parking lot can fill by mid-day on summer weekends, and limited off-street parking is available nearby.

The Healdsburg Swim Center is owned by the Healdsburg Unified School District and operated jointly by the District and the City. The facility includes a 25-meter, 8-lane competition pool with a diving board, small slide and a 2-3 foot deep training pool as well as showers/locker rooms, a spectator area with plenty of seating in bleachers and on the well-kept lawn area.

We operate a recreational swim program, comprehensive learn to swim program, lap swimming, and a youth swim team program during the the summer months. Our group and private lessons offers instruction for beginners to advanced swimmers, ages 6 months to 18 years old.

Monte Rio Beach is the largest public beach on the lower Russian River and is ADA accessible. East of the Monte Rio Bridge and known locally as Big Rocky Beach, this is the location of the Independence weekend children’s games organized under the banner of Big Rocky Games. A lighted boat flotilla and fireworks follow for an old-fashioned family experience.

Enjoy the serenity of this part of the Russian River and rent a canoe, paddle board or kayak (see below for rates). This is a great place to learn water sports but it’s also challenging enough to attract the advanced paddler.

Our food concession stand is stocked with cold drinks, ice cream and lunchable items. Volleyball courts and horseshoe pits are free to any who wish to play. The parking lot is only open during the regular season and closes at 8pm. Built-in barbecue areas overlook the beauty and grandeur of the redwood covered hills across the river.

Monte Rio Beach, is open to the public Memorial weekend through the last weekend in September each year.

West of the Monte Rio Bridge is Sandy Beach. The upper parking lot gives access to this beach all year where those on foot can cut through the narrow paths leading down to the water. This small beach is popular for fly-fishing and the adjacent boat launch provides access to small fishing vessels. Angling has long been a popular sport on the Russian River and even today the area is famous for Steelhead trout.

Sandy Beach is our dog-friendly beach and leashes are required. We ask that you respect the use of the area and clean up after your pet.

The Swim Center has a 50-meter heated outdoor pool and a heated wading pool from 2-3 feet deep. The complex includes heated showers, dressing rooms, a large deck and picnic areas.

Magnolia Pool ("M Pool") aquatics facility is open seasonally, June - August and offers lap swim, public swim, and swim classes during the summer. You can also rent this pool for private parties.

Benicia Pool ("B Pool") is our “newest” pool after receiving a $1.2 million dollar facelift in 2015. During the summer, B Pool hosts swim lessons, water aerobics and open swim time for children and families. There are two shade structures that can be reserved for birthday parties.

Honeybee Pool ("H Pool") operates year round and offers lap swim, open swim (seasonally), swim lessons (seasonally) and fitness programs. H Pool is also the home to the Rohnert Park Piranhas Swim Club.

Recreation Swim offers a fun time in the water for all ages. All facilities will be open for use during recreation swim times and lifeguards will be on duty for your safety.

Recreational swim time open to the public. A “family” is up to 2 adults and their minor children living in the same household. Approved swim diapers are required for all children under 3 years and all who are incontinent.

La Cantera Racquet & Swim Club is the premier racquet and swim club in Santa Rosa, California. Our members enjoy our 12 tennis courts, weight and fitness center and four pools including a 25 yard pool, plus we have poolside food and drinks served daily.

This 320-acre park in northeast Santa Rosa features trails for walking, hiking, and bicycling as well as a summer swimming lagoon, a lake for boating and fishing, a campground, picnic areas, and the Environmental Discovery Center.

A spring-fed swimming lagoon is open daily Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. The lagoon features areas for free swimming and lap swimming and an inflatable, floating playground for children 6 and older and adults. Lagoon admission is free. Admission to the inflatable playground is $10 per person or $60 for a season pass. The lagoon also features shaded lawns, picnic tables, barbecues, and tube rentals.
